This EDITerm module goes through a text to find terms that may be of terminological interest.
The process consists of a morphological and syntactical analysis of a text to identify groups of words structured according to certain patterns.
The second step of the process compares the potential terms with those already recorded in the database and highlights known terms, similar terms and new terms using different colours.
The resulting list of terms is presented in a grid, displayed in a separate window from the source text, which allows the user to find the contexts by clicking on one of the terms.
A term record can be immediately created by clicking on the bar separating the two windows. In the Professional and Enterprise Editions, the Term Search Module includes a linking command which partners a source text with its translation to make the creation of bilingual term records much easier. |
